Stronger than nature: media support for charity calendar and photo exhibition

Task
Organize media support for the creation of a charity calendar featuring 12 Ukrainian women. The calendar was released to raise funds to buy drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Implementation

First, the client of the communication agency, the YOUkraine charity foundation, told us about the work on the "Stronger than Nature" charity calendar to raise funds for drones for the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians.

Twelve Ukrainian servicewomen, veterans, former prisoners of war, medics and volunteers were invited to take part in the photo shoot. They were portrayed as natural phenomena and elements.

The agency created a media engagement plan that included not only a presentation of the calendar but also coverage of its creation process.

After the YOUkraine foundation selected the models, the studio work on the charity initiative began. We shared the backstage of the photo shoot, the women's stories and their images in a news story published by the national media.

Then we started preparing for the presentation of the calendar and the photo portraits of the women.

We wrote content for social media, news for the client's website, and shortly before the event, we sent out an announcement inviting the media to cover the event.

During the presentation itself, we conducted interviews with the calendar's heroines, a photographer, and the founder of the YOUkraine charity foundation. In addition, we organized a filming of the event.

After the presentation, we prepared a post-event press release with quotes and photos of the participants, and sent it to the media.

When the photo exhibition moved a new location in the Kyiv's Gulliver shopping mall, we consulted the client on how to prepare the official opening and drafted an announcement for the event. We also wrote posts for social media and continued to cover the exhibition at other locations in Kyiv.

To provide information support for the project, we developed and implemented a large-scale video presentation of the project on the facade of the Gulliver shopping mall.

Result
The presentation of the charity calendar and the photo exhibition with portraits of its heroines was covered by dozens of national and regional media, including Kyiv and Channel 5 TV channels, as well as online media, including NV, Insider, and Ukrinform. The potential reach of the publications and stories was more than half a million people.
