Presentation of the street lighting system

TASK

To demonstrate the possibilities of modern street lighting of the ITW Systems company. To organize a turnkey event presenting the installation of lighting on a Kyiv street named after American Senator John McCain.

LOCATION

Holding this event was a challenging task for our agency. First, the terms were short: less than 2 weeks from idea to its implementation. Secondly, the location was specific: in order to demonstrate how street lighting works, the event had to be held outside in the evening. We, together with the representatives of ITW Systems, purposefully searched for such a place directly near the illuminated street, from where the press and guests of the event would have the best possible view of the advantages of the lighting system. 

It was important to take into account a number of other nuances: starting from whether guests and pedestrians will not disturb each other, ending with how to optimally install all the equipment necessary for the presentation. It was also necessary to consider the placement of the promotional stand and other corporate merch.
ESTIMATE AND SCRIPT

After choosing the location, we made an estimate and ordered the necessary equipment (monitor for video broadcasting, lighting, awning in case of rain). We also provided catering with hot tea - after all, the event took place in November, so it was already cold outside. A separate task was the preparation of a video for broadcasting on the monitor: we showed ITW Systems promo and a video about John McCain himself and his visits to Ukraine. At the same time, we prepared a detailed scenario of the event, coordinated with the guests: representatives of the Kyiv city state administration, the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, the embassies of the United States and Slovakia (ITW Systems is a Ukrainian-American company, and its partner in this project is the Slovak company SEAK Energetics). The high level of guests required special care as the Kyiv officials, diplomats from the USA and Slovakia were among them.

WORKING WITH MEDIA
One of the key components of the event was communication with the media. We prepared a release-invitation and sent it out to the editorial offices of both local and national newspapers, online media and TV channels. After all, the interest of journalists exceeded our expectations, and even before the start of the event we were worried whether it would be possible to comfortably place all representatives of the press and TV. Fortunately, there was enough space for everyone - more than two dozen media professionals attended the event.
CONDUCTING THE EVENT
The representative of our agency worked on the site from the very morning — organizing and monitoring the installation process of the location. We also engaged and briefed a photographer and a videographer in advance. In addition to preparing the script, representatives of our agency moderated the event itself and helped the organizers and guests of the presentation to communicate with journalists.
RESULT
The presentation of modern street lighting on John McCain Street became the subject of more than two dozen non-commercial publications and stories in the Kyiv and national media.
The total coverage of the materials reached 17,538,582 views. Since the project had considerable infrastructural and social significance, the name of the lighting manufacturer was mentioned in most of the materials. The client highly appreciated the level of the presentation and its coverage in the media, thanked us for the flawlessly performed work.
