To participate in the organization and provide media support for IDP forums in 14 regions of Ukraine.
First, we reviewed the materials of the United Voices in Action program, held a meeting with the client and developed an algorithm of work for this task.
The agency team created a media map for work in 14 regional centers where the forums were planned. We offered options for event titles, chose the best one together with the client, and prepared press announcements based on the forum program in each city.
Each text was agreed upon with the client and had to meet a number of design requirements: form, structure, and a standardized order of partner mentions. To write the press announcements, we contacted regional coordinators to find out the organizational details of the events and agree on the list of attendees.
We also contacted media outlets to invite them to the event, and coordinated the work of journalists during the forum.
Before and after the events, the team provided the client with a report on the status of media involvement: who agreed to attend the event in person, is waiting for a post-event release, or has already published material. At the end of each forum, we prepared a post-event release and sent it to the editorial offices along with photos (previously selected and agreed with the client). At the forum in Kyiv, a representative of our team worked personally, preparing a post-event report.
At the same time, the agency's staff recorded interviews with regional coordinators of the United Voices in Action program, during which they discussed the most pressing problems of IDPs, ways to solve them and successful practices of integrating IDPs into new communities. Then we selected and agreed on media platforms for placement. After editing and adaptation, we submitted the materials for publication to regional editors.
Throughout the entire period of cooperation, we worked closely with the client's team: we had joint meetings, consultations, and planning.
Between February and June 2023, our team provided media support for 14 IDP forums in Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Rivne, Lviv, Chernivtsi, Poltava, Kropyvnytskyi, Ternopil, Vinnytsia, Lutsk, Dnipro, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Cherkasy.
As a result, 118 stories and articles were broadcast on TV channels and online media on a non-commercial basis. On average, this is more than 8 articles per region.
The materials were broadcast on Espreso, Pravda TUT, TV7+, and appeared in the Rayon Rivne and Nova Doba media outlets.
In addition, thanks to our joint work, we managed to draw the attention of the media, authorities and the public sector to the problems of IDPs. We also proposed an effective tool for adaptation and integration of IDPs into new communities, which could be the IDP Councils.
