To organize media and social media coverage of the story of 23-year-old student Yaremma Vengrynovych. He went on a biking tour from Belgium to Ukraine to collect money for our client — the SOS Children's Villages Ukraine charity organization. The difficult journey through highways, rural and mountain roads was supposed to last 3 weeks.
At the start, we received Yaremma's travel route, stopping points and estimated date of arrival. Based on this information, a detailed communication plan was developed for 2 months (during the trip and after it) to involve the media at various stages. The media plan provided for the preparation of press releases, their distribution and media pitching.
First, we organized coverage of the start in Belgium — there, at our invitation, the Ukraine and Inter TV channels shot their stories.
And then, for 3 weeks, we coordinated the interaction between Yaremma and journalists regarding interviews, Skype calls, etc.

We regularly consulted the project organizers and also sent to the media the video that Yaremma and his team filmed on the way. Before the student finished in Ternopil, we advised the SOS Children's Villages Ukraine on the final press conference.


Cooperation with the local media of Lviv, Ternopil and other cities of western Ukraine on the cyclist's route, was also important in this campaign. Therefore, we were in constant contact with the local editorial offices. Several dozen local and national Ukrainian media outlets reported on Yaremma's arrival in Lviv, and then in Ternopil.

In addition to the materials in the media, we chronicled Yaremma’s cycling trip on the pages of SOS Children's Villages Ukraine in Facebook and Instagram: we prepared posts, visuals, and stories.

Based on the results of Yaremma's trip, a hundred publications appeared in the media. These were news, interviews, stories and essays about the Belgian student's journey in national and local media outlets. The publications reached more than 20 million views. In most materials, the press mentioned our client — SOS Children's Villages Ukraine. Due to his trip, Yaremma managed to collect more than 10,000 euros for the construction of a shelter for mothers with children in Sievierodonetsk, Luhansk region.
